Candice Hong is a Partner at Kingswell Law and an Accredited Specialist in Business Law. She advises Australian and international businesses, founders, investors, family offices and individual clients on significant legal and commercial matters. Candice also sits on the Business Law Advisory Committee of the Law Society of New South Wales.

Candice advises on corporate and commercial transactions, mergers and acquisitions, commercial contracts, business and investment structuring, shareholder arrangements, governance, finance and security arrangements, trust, intellectual property matters, employment and executive arrangements, commercial litigation and dispute resolution, and cross-border matters.

Before founding Kingswell Law, Candice's prior experience included roles at leading Australian and international firms and senior in-house positions with listed and high-growth international companies. She has advised boards, executives and business leaders on strategic transactions, regulatory matters and complex commercial issues across financial services, energy, technology healthcare, property, construction, manufacturing retail, professional services and not-for-profit organisations.

Drawing on her private-practice and in-house experience, Candice provides technically rigorous, commercially pragmatic advice focused on practical solutions and clear outcomes.

  • Human Financial Pty Ltd on its acquisition of all the shares in ClearView Financial Management Limited.

  • Commonwealth Bank of Australia on its A$625 million sale of the general insurance business.

  • A global manufacturer of wind turbines on its acquisition, and divestment, of a wind farm project in central Queensland, with an expected capacity of 340MW once developed.

  • One of the largest providers of multimodal public transport in Australia on its joint venture arrangement in the bid of the Sydney Metro Western Sydney Airport PPP Project.

  • Accruent, a Fortive company, on its circa A$41 million acquisition of all the shares in RedEye Apps.

  • An international fintech company on its acquisition of all the shares in a leading Australian consumer payments platform.

  • A leading Australian vegetation management company on its sale to an agricultural company.

  • Rest Superannuation Fund on its divestment of a 50% stake in SEA Gas, an owner of a 700 km underground gas pipeline and transmission system.

  • QSuper on its investment in a Guernsey fund.

  • Telstra Ventures, Octopus Ventures, Blackbird Ventures, AirTree Ventures and Main Sequence Ventures on their various investments (including seed, Series A and Series B rounds) in Australian companies.
